We invite you to attend a public meeting on Thursday July 9th, 7:00 P.M. in the Lockwood Fire Station Community Meeting Room located at 501 Johnson Ln. in Lockwood. For the purpose of obtaining public comments regarding the possible expansion and future phases of the Lockwood sewer system recommended in the 2018 Sewer Preliminary Engineering Report (PER). The meeting will include a presentation on the purpose of the PER, a brief history and review of the existing sewer system, identification of areas within the District Boundary currently without sewer service, and planning criteria. The LWSD is soliciting input from the public about sewer planning and the public’s priorities. Social distancing requirements will be observed. Click on the SEWER tab for more information.

Drinking water provided to the Lockwood community by the Lockwood Water & Sewer District (LWSD) is safe to drink.  A health advisory was issued to the Worden Ballantine Yellowstone County Water and Sewer District customers advising them not to drink water from the tap after the water tested high for nitrates. LWSD operates its own independent water treatment plant and distribution system. Our drinking water meets all state and federal health requirements and is completely safe to drink.


Effective March 5, 2020 Until Further Notice
To protect the public and staff from the spread of COVID-19, Lockwood Water & Sewer District (LWSD) will close its lobby to the public beginning at 5 p.m. Friday March 20. Our drive through will remain open during normal business hours. Payments can be made by mail, by using our drop box, on line through our website or by phone with a credit or debit card (on line and phone payments are subject to a $2.00 or 3.5% processing fee). Staff will be remain available by phone Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. to conduct business as normal. We will continue to keep you updated via our website of any new information or changes.
